So we finally got some good weather this weekend so I decided to bedline my wheels. Below is my good and not so good times that followed.

Process:

Remove wheels and clean with soap and water.
Remove wheel weights and remove tack.
Rough sand the wheels with #2 auto sand paper.
Clean with acetone.
Spray and light coat of primer.
4 coats of bedliner with 30 minute intervals
Let dry about 4 hours
Complete

I had a terrible expierence when I was going to put the last tire on. Left rear. My jack actually broke and dropped my truck luckily I had 2 jack stands to support it when it fell but needless to say I about had a heartattack. I was using the 3 ton Husky jack from Home Depot. Took it up there and traded in for the 12 ton jack much better in my opinion. It also dmged my rim paint because I was about to lift the rim on when it happened so not good.

Pic 1 is the original rim.
Pic 2 is my dog keeping watch while my girlfriend and I work.
Pic 3 is girlfriend and dog cleaning the wheels.
Pic 4 is the primer going on.
Pic 5 is the wheel caps taped of for primer and beliner.

More pics in next post.

Looks great. I just did mine about a month ago. You do know that the nissan emblem pops out of the center cap right? Looks like a pain taping it perfectly.
