Most obvious to me is the huge unprotected opening in the front below the grill. Those plastic parts and fan blades are going to be destroyed in no time on the gravel roads around here. The center console lid opens sideways making it very difficult for the front seat passenger to reach in. A simple fix would be to have the lid open backward like in most vehicles. That tailgate is HEAVY and without any counterbalancing like the new Ford 150 has, it's going to hurt somebody who isn't paying attention.
My plans are to factory order a Titan LE crew cab in late August for delivery in November as a 2005 model (yeah, I'm a patient sort). I hope Nissan will be making a few minor improvements for the next model year. I've heard rumours of a power sliding rear window.

I can see the point about the center console. Opening backwards would eliminate the possibility of the rear seat folks from changing dvds etc.rrumaner said:My wife was sayig the same thing about the center console. I think that since the DVD player is in there, it would make more sense for the passenger to be able to manage the process of changing the DVD while the driver does the driving. It is difficult for her to reach into the space without taking off her seatbelt and leaning over the console to reach in.
Yes, the tailgate is heavy. I think it could have been couterbalanced, but expect that to be something handled in future models.
If you are worried about damaging the fan blade in the lower grill, buy a Billet Grill
Get the bench seat/column shift option. It has a center armrest thingy that folds down and opens rearward. I drove a bucket seat version and couldn't give up all the room that center shifter console uses up.The center console lid opens sideways making it very difficult for the front seat passenger to reach in. Rear seat passengers cannot reach the latch to open the console from their seats. How are they going to change the DVD?speed said:I can see the point about the center console. Opening backwards would eliminate the possibility of the rear seat folks from changing dvds etc.
I meant to say, that although he has a point about the center console, it would be impossible for rear seat passengers to open the center console if it were hinged at the back. I think currently, the console works well. My Bad!rrumaner said:Rear seat passengers cannot reach the latch to open the console from their seats. How are they going to change the DVD?
Holey Crap, if the roads are going ot destroy your fan blades, what is your paint going to look like? Do you have rocks flying at your car rather than dust? :huh:Derodeo said:I finally got to look over (though not drive - it was already sold) a Titan CC (SE trim) at my local dealer.
