The best way for the console to be hinged is like Nissan has it-for the driver's use first and rear passengers second. The driver needs easy access when he gets in the truck before he starts driving and after he stops. I put a full size folio in mine and I can't imagine having to reach over the top every time I need to use it. If the front passenger needs in the console, he is the one that needs to be in a contorted position, not the driver,whether he is driving or not. The @#^%! passenger didn't buy the Titan, I did. Let him "deal with it".
