FINALLY! I have had to listen to this rattle since I got the truck in late 2012. I decided to tear into the dash to see if I could find where it was coming from. After removing the glove box and sticking my head up in the dash I hit the dash repeatedly (very scientificly) to reproduce the sound. It sounded like it was coming from where the cabin filters are located so I took the cover off. SURPRISE! No filters..... So I continued pounding on the dash and it sounded like something was rattling on top of the blower motor. So I pulled it out and turned it over hoping that I would finally lay my eyes on what has driven me to the brink of insanity, nothing.... So I pounded on the dash yet again and still the rattle was there. It sounded almost as if it was coming from the duct work. I put my ear over the passenger vent and hit the dash again but the rattle was to the right of the vent. I looked and there were two bolts and washers. I touched the top bolt and it was loose. I hit the dash and sure enough there was my culprit. Now that that's taken care of it can start to look for the cause of the other squeaks in the cab haha.

Excellent job! Rattles are one of the things that people have complained about the Titan from new. I have a couple of 'em myself. I'm just too lazy or busy, depending on the day, to pull the dash apart any more :)

Nice work, hope you also installed some filters also as they do help the air quality in the cab.

I did. I had ordered Fram freshbreeze filters before I started because I figured filters from 2012 were probably due for replacement. I guess nissan figured dusty feet smell better than a skunk or a chicken farm lol

Sometimes if I'm driving on a particularly rough patch of road I'm fairly certain every interior trim piece is about to fall off. I may just tear out all the plastics and go for that stripped down race car look lol

No experience with that yet. I live in a farming community so there are a ton of diesels next time I get behind a truck with open exhaust I'll put the ac on interior only and see if it filters it out.

Excellent! Let me know. Yeah, the interior trim wasn't the best done on the Titan. I think they were weary by the time they got the drivetrain right :)
