This weekend, the wife and I went out to eat. We pull up, both hop out of the truck and I hit my lock button on the FOB to lock the truck (I usually hit it when the doors are open to avoid the loud "honk"). Well nothing happens. So I shut my door, and hit it. I have my wife open and close both her doors, and I do the same. Nothing still. So we walk towards the retaurant and I hit it several times, and still nothing. We go inside and my wife says "hey, my purse is in the truck, make sure its locked", so I go back outside and hit the lock button 5 or more times and still no response. I hit the unlock button a bunch to and get nothing. So finally I use the key in the driver's side door to lock it up. After we eat, we roll home and after I get out at home, i try the FOB. <click> <HONK> It works fine. I lock and unlock it several times without a problem.

Anyone else had an issue like this?

First of all, if you lock the doors using the fob while a door is open, sometimes only the closed doors will lock, sometimes none of them will lock (I found this out myself). If you don't want it to honk, hold down both the lock and unlock buttons until you see the lights flash....now you'll get no honk while locking.
If a door isn't fully closed sometimes nothing will happen. With that being said, I have on occasion, my key fob not work for some odd reason. Then a few minutes later it's fine.

That's interesting, because I've been locking them with the door open for almost a year, and they have all locked every time. I can hear my driver's side door locking every time I hit the button. Well, except for this 1 time.. ;)
I had the horn turned off but sometimes I want to hear the horn, and sometimes I don't.
Thanks for the reply though.

Mines F'd up then...lol. But I'll assume you know how to turn the horn on and off so....maybe you just had some sort of FOB fart and it's ok now. Stuff happens.

My key FOB will not work any time I am near two different post offices. At least one of the post offices has a huge radio antenna- maybe it is strong transmitter signal interfering with the FOB.
