yes it gives you a left and right stereo output and a sub output as well.

Rockford and alpine both make a unit like this. I was all set to pick one up and my local installer/dealer told me they are not worth it and to just do a LOC instead. FYI the rockford unit is like 4 bills.

Your installer was correct in a way about the rockford and Jl piece . Have not looked at the alpine. But they are njot like this. Totally different. It all depends on how serious you are about clean sound.

Don't mean to irritate the Installation Gurus, but is this a direct plug and play item? I mean, is there anything else that would be required like RCA jacks, wires, etc? I'm not a wiring guru but since getting the Tech box, I've noticed that the rest of the system sound s a bit lean. (DUH!) I'm looking to maybe update the speakers next and if this helps, I'm in!
