Besides the motor thats about the equiv. of the No Fear Pro 4-x isnt it?
Hardly. They claimed a long travel suspension with nearly double that of the stock truck.

I'd buy one probably...if I could afford it!

I agree its gonna be pricey, but I just give em credit for doing something on this level. Whats Nissan done? The no fear Titan dosnt even come close to this.

Yeah but for 30k you could buy a nice new Titan and spend 20k on A LOT more than you'll get for the Ford. Plus it would be custom to your liking.

Off the lot "custom" vehicles always look so poser-ish to me.

Would it come with a 36,000/3 year warranty?

Ford has the sales numbers to be able to develop and sell a truck like this. Nissan doesn't. The sale numbers for the Titan are no where near what they are for the F150 so Nissan sees no real reason to offer such a unique vehicle. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see Nissan do something like this, but it doesn't make sense from a sales point of view

I'd love to see factory versions of the XXX Titan on the lots! That would be hilarious!

That much money I wouldnt buy a truck. Probably a viper or Z06 or something. I do use the bed to haul stuff and I am scared enough of beating up my titan.

The new truck ..... will reportedly use a long-travel suspension, possibly double that offered by the stock truck, that is being co-developed with Fox Racing ...... will reportedly be lower and wider than the standard model, and will feature tires in the 33-35 inch range. The truck will likely have wider fender flares to house the larger wheels
wow, sounds like a badass truck to me....if they were to use quality parts, it would not be poser-ish .... sounds like Greg's truck, only a Titan with Radflos and 37s...... the factory must be getting feedback from the tremendous amount of Ferds involved in and around desert racing

I cant wait to see the huge pile of parts strewn around the desert from hotshots and their "long-travel" f150s lol.

The desert community is really small IMO and this is certainly and odd corporate decision, but ill wait and judge the final product before i start yellin out 'told ya so'.

But I will predict that the frame is gonna get bent like hell because they arent caged. Seen it plenty of times before.

Well forget wether or not the fords gonna be a winner or not. Nissan hasnt even tried to give us anything new (not even a friggin concept). Sorry, but the Pro 4x is a really nice truck but its really not that different from the original offroad model. Plus when was the last time Nissan even did an "concept exploration" with the Titan that made you say wow? And its not about them actually building it, its about creating excitement around the product, showing its potential. It's about trying to create a buzz and Nissan has really dropped the ball here. Its hard for me not to be critical of them being in the marketing business.

I'm not sure that Ford Craptor is going to fly. I used to drive an F250 that was a nice solid truck. Ford has the heavy duty truck department figured out. But turning an f150 into an off road production truck doesn't seem like its going to be a profitable endeavor. It would have to share so many parts with the normal production version in order to save on costs that basically you'd just bolt on all these extras and sell it with an even bigger sticker!

I just don't see it.

If you want to create a "saleen" type titan, go for it man. Put a nice business plan together, get a bank loan and open up your shop selling your badass trucks. :)
