I put on Banks exhaust about 3 months and with in the past 3 weeks I have been getting an annoying rattle from the back end. After spending some time under the truck I think it is coming from the heat shield above the muffler. I am guessing there is a small rock or something stuck up there. I tried taking off the shield screws however the screw kept turning. I am assuming there is a nut on the other side turning that I can't get to.

Any one else had experience with any rear end rattles or experience at getting this heat shield removed.

By the way it rattles right at about 1800 or 1900 rpms

I had a rattle in my catalytic converter heat shields.

I went to the store and got a set of aluminum fence ties and used those to wedge those through and hook them in place. Worked great.

i have a similar rattle. but i think mine is coming from my drop in bed liner so im not that worried about it

Thanks for the replies. After searching for "Rattles" it seams there is countless parts on Titans that are notorious for rattling.

I should re-phrase my question since I am about 50.09% positive where mine is coming from...

My questions now is "Does any one know how to remove the rear heat shield above the muffler?"
