I changed the front and rear diff fluids about a month ago . A couple of days after , i noticed some small wet spots in the engine bay near the vent hose , i didnt think it was a big deal . This morning i drove the truck really hard on the way home from work about 30 miles. This afternoon I noticed a small stain on the driveway , I looked under the truck and was shocked by the size of the area that was wet with gear oil.
Is this a problem?
Did i maybe overfill the diff?
What is the vent hose for anyway?

Check first to make sure one of the front axles hasn't popped out of the front diff.

Let it burp for a little while. Couple of days maybe?
If it dries up? Good.

If it doesn't? There may be too much fluid in the diff.
Do you have any idea how much you put in?

I'd guess you got a little too much in there...
