Just a vent. I think it was originally clipped to the back of the stock air box. Zip tie the free upper end to something. Gear oil will come out of it if you overfill the front diff.

I just noticed a rubber hose hanging down from my truck today, its loose on one end and the other end goes up to the top side of the diff on the driver side. Is this just a breather ? what does it do ? where do it go ? thanks !
