I installed 5100's about a year ago. Started to get a metal grinding noise from front end and isolated it to the Right front shock. Took shock out of spring and reinstalled and noise went away. Two months later and noise is back. Considering ordering new shocks with springs. Any suggestions? If I go with new shock and springs, any recommendations? Many options on eBay and amazon.
I own a 2 wheel drive,140,000 miles. Daily driver

Did you put them together properly? Many people miss a washer, if you used the instructions that came with the Bilsteins, they are not correct. Very good chance this is what is causing the issues

I just read write up
On how to install. I may have put washers concave up. Spacer I'm assuming I had to put in. Just hate to take apart again and find spacer not their. Wouldn't even know where to get one.
Any recommendations on new shocks with coilovers would be helpful!
Thanks

#5 is often missed.

you'll need the OEM washer that comes off the shock, Bilstein will supply new Nylock nut and #5 washer.

If you need shocks, i sell Bilstein, Fox, Radflo, ICON, & King Shocks.
