So I picked up an 08 in March and the gauge on my dash has not been right for a few months now, I've ran out of gas 3 times. I went to the dealer and had them run my VIN and they said that it has been replaced already. I went on and told them that I have seen several cases that people had to go back a few times until it was fixed with a newer part. My question is does anyone have a part number for the gauge that was not working at first? The dealer gave me this number , 25060ZQ60C , as the part that was replaced in my truck

There should probably be a class action suit. Basically, what they did was replace the bad unit with another bad unit. I took mine in when it was recalled and then it went badd a few years later and they said tough. That is just totally wrong! I have to carry a 5 gallon can with me at all times and it varies when I run out of gas period from a 1/2 tank to a quarter tank. You would think they Would help us out here. Very Irritating!

Why not go by trip mileage and not rely on your gauge? I don’t know of a single vehicle that has a perfectly accurate gauge, so why not sue all the manufacturers for blatant misrepresentation of their vehicles?

An 08 model? I would think rock Auto would have a sender that would fix it. 08 is a little late to ask the dealer to fix, I would imagine
