Greetings all,

New to the forum here. Have a 2006 Titan.

Experiencing surging with the truck. Sometimes it seems to correspond to gas tank levels: -usually less than half a tank, but sometimes, 3/4. When it occurs, if I baby the throttle and accelerate really slowly, I can get to a gas station without the surging. As soon as I fill up, the problem goes away.

I've read up a fair amount, but don't have tools to do a fuel pressure test.

Any educated opinions about whether it might be the fuel pump? Something else?

Thank you so much in advance.

Get a shop to test your fuel pressure while driving with the tank low. Certainly could be fuel pump, but could by any of several other things, too, and no sense throwing an expensive fuel pump at it if you don't know that to be the issue.

I know I'm late to the discussion, but always try dry gas first. Especially in this situation.

wasnt there a recall back in the day for the fuel sending unit? Your gauge could be wrong and youre actually almost outta gas.

Those should be all fixed by now, Nissan was very adamant about it, being a huge safety issue.
