Hey, everyone knows about the VK module coming out via Stillen at the end of may, and a lot of people are becoming more aware of the price ($695). However, what we don't know is how much of a discount the TitanTalk community can receive based on a list of a group buy. So per P's Titan advice on another thread, I started this one to see who would be interested. Keep this going and let's show Stillen how serious we are to get this module

Would like more info in regard sto what it will do??
HP/TQ numbers.
Would it eliminate the Throttle not opening until 40MPH like uprev?

cool, keep it coming in. I apologize if I don't have more information up front; this is the first time I've done this. But what I will do is call Stillen up tomorrow and give Kyle a heads-up on this thread (hopefully he reads it beforehand, too).

I'm not too keen on exactly WHAT this does, but what I gathered is that it optimizes a/f ratios across the RPM band; primarily in the mid-range, which is where most of us spend the majority of our time at, anyway. Midrange power is a 30rwhp gain/30rw tq gain (3200-4000 or so), while top-end HP is around 7-10rwhp, w/ the +20 wheel tq. I don't believe this will eliminate the throttle lag(?), where the throttle isn't 100% open until 40mph.
Attached are the pictures I took of the dyno, and of the actual module. Sorry for the poor quality

I am definitely in for one!

I'm in....the common sense and R&D that they put into the chip really convinced me to purchase one in the near future. I would like a re-flash but hearing it from a racing champion with much more knowledge of racing products, I trust him over some grease money in a shed.

I might be in. Is it going to be a plug in, or a programmer(shift points, tire size etc.). It sounds like it will make noticeable power.

Its a plug n play module, not a programmer. Although I'm not familiar w/ all the fine points of it, i can tell you that it is NOT similar in any way to the UpREV/Cipher tune, in that you cannot change shift points, or allow WOT off the line.

You can email STILLEN and ask them why they didn't want to re-flash the TITAN ECU....main reason, reliability. Yes, you get the power, yes you get the tune, yes you get the WOT off the line, but what is it really doing to your engine and in the long run...how will it effect the integrity of the engine. I don't want to gamble on that.

Agreed. I just felt I wasn't at liberty to bring that up, since I'm not familiar w/ all that stuff. But yes, they did say that re-flashes, while generally produce more power, are not as reliable.

I would need to hear more about this before I committed to anything. Am I able to set shift points off of a download able map? Drive by wire eliminated?
Nope, Plug and play with no user seatings.

I guess count me in to ... :)

i'd be willing to bet my own nutz that a reflash by uprev is just as reliable or more than a plug in module.. they aren't run by night wanna be computer hackers they are engineers same as what stillen uses..

sweet! i think once we hit 20 or 25 we send this Stillen's way and get a commitment from them to offer a group buy on the module, then go thru the list and start getting hard commitments made from everybody! i'm down for this simple gain, bit pricey, but what the hell, you only live once!
