So the electronics package includes Navigation, I'm very used to that from my 2010 Maxima. But with the Apps function, can you run any app that is on your phone? Can you run Waze on NissanConnect?

I've stayed away from NissanConnect in my wife's 2016 Maxima. It was clunky and if I remember right you can only use very few particular apps.
Here you go. I think the XM traffic stuff requires a separate subscription outside of normal XM radio: NissanConnect Apps & Features | Nissan USA

It does.
Nissan connect is weak sauce. They should pay us for having to have it.

Wow. Nissan Connect in the 2017 Titan is painful.

NissanConnect apps gives you like 6 apps all of which I don't use, or have better control over just using Bluetooth(Pandora). Google search is incredible slow and doesn't give full functionality while the vehicle is in motion. Any effort to reduce mobile phone usage is a complete failure.

Google send to car is a mess. And only works off a desktop/laptop computer?

The only good thing this NissanConnect services for the remote lock, unlock, remote start. And this service that GM provides for free form5 years, is $20 a month after the trail.

Am I missing something? Are there tips and tricks or a service that makes this system worth while? Maybe I d just don't know how to use everything correctly.
Can't help to agree with the majority of posters here. NissanConnect is useless. Have taken to plugging my iPhone into a 12v outlet instead of the USB port, just to stop the damn thing from connecting to NissanConnect. I don't use iTunes to play music and when connected it is the only app that I can play stored music from. The iHeart radio app does't work, just shows its playing but never actually does. The pandora app just causes the whole system to lock up and reboot.

This system has been the only disappointment about my new truck. Wish Nissan had just gone with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
I gave up on it completely. The system a base Pathfinder is better than a Platinum Titan.

I've been using Android Auto.

It now works without radio integration via Bluetooth.

Just install the app and get a phone mount and everything works flawlessly over the phone. And with a Galaxy Note, the screen is just as big as the radio screen in the Titan.
Reviving an old thread: Anyone have any idea if there will be a software update? I just got a '17 (SV King Cab with Comfort&Convenience) two weeks ago and am incredibly disappointed and frustrated with Nissan Connect. I'll likely replace the entire unit with one that has Apple CarPlay.

It's very unlikely. The radio only supports what it's designed for and that's implemented by Rockford Fosgate.

Interesting thing is that the 2018 Armada is now using the new Nissan Connect based on the Infiniti Connect system built by Bose is significantly better. It's even better than the base Bose system the 2017 and below models have.

Many more apps, user interface is great. Phone and media integration is excellent.

It would be smart and cost effective if Nissan used this radio across all of their model and made things seemless like GM and Chevy's intellilink.
Nissan Connect might be the ****tiest thing I've ever seen in a vehicle. I told myself I wasn't going to change out anything inside the truck but if I could find a nice plug and play head unit using the back up camera, I'd buy it. I can't believe they charge for this garbage service. I would love the auto start on my phone but the remote will do fine, they should pay us to use that junk.
Does pandora connect through Nisssanconnect on anyones android phone? Doesn't on my s8+

Can't you just pair it using bluetooth and use it that way on your phone?

There is that. I'm just more frustrated the one APP I would use on NissanConnect doesn't work lol. i'm sure I'll find an aftermarket android auto head unit soon enough, unless the 2018/2019 Titan have a plug and play Andorid Auto head unit I can swap in.
