Question - I have a 2008(.5) SE Crew Cab Long Bed (Tow package too). When doing normal driving (work commute, errands, etc) where should the tranny temp gauge 'sit' after having been driving for a bit? 1/4 way? 1/2 way?....just before 1/2 way? After driving a bit mine gets to somewhere between 1/4 and 1/2 and pretty much stays there......is that about right???

Just curious and hoping someone can share if you have a tranny temp gauge in yours.....Thanks much!!!

That's about the range mine runs. In colder weather (like now) when I'm at highway speeds, it tends to run on the lower end of that range.

That where should be. Like Bob said in the winter it runs a little cooler.

They changed how the tranny temp guage works starting in 2008. My 04 was allover the place and if you didn't tow using 4th gear, it showed it heat up quickly. On my new 08, it's get to about 1/2 (you'll find that's about where it'll be most of the time) and you'd have to REALLY heat it up to actually see it move into the red.
