Im getting 15-16 mpg on average. Better on the highway of course, and in town I try to take it easy on the peddle.

Taking it easy on the pedal is the only sure fire way to improve your mileage. Some report better with CAI and exhaust, others worse. Some report better with the two degree advance, others worse. Keep the right foot out of it. That's the best you can do for your mileage, but it sure isn't the most fun!!!!!!

15-16 is pretty good for a Titan. I would be happy with that.

There's only one thing you can do. Park it.

I've pulled a couple of 19 mpg freeway runs (One stock, and one modified), averaging 70mph. They were both in the summer too. Maybe someday I'll take a long trip on a cooler day and maybe break 20 mpg.

If you're not in a hurry, prolly the best way to improve fuel economy on long trips is to get behind a big rig and draft him (Not too close though, maintain a 2 second following distance). you should be able to do well over 20mpg that way.

That's some pretty good advice. I never thought about that. Thx for sharing

:jester: theres a mod that will vastly improve your mileage and you can do it yourself. all you need is a small block and u wedge it behind the gas pedal and it doesnt allow it to go past halfway it guaruntees great mileage

In a word: coast.

The Titan weighs what, 5200 lbs? Once you get it rolling it will keep rolling without your foot on the gas. Look ahead for red lights, stop signs, etc. and just take your foot off the gas and roll up to them. I find I can my foot completely off the gas maybe 40% of the time when driving in-town.

Obviously if you drive in heavy traffic this won't work, but thought I'd post it because I've added at least 1MPG to my in-town driving using this technique. Two months and I'm still amazed at the sheer mass of this truck - I'm coming from a little '92 hardbody. :upsidedow

Sorry, but I'm not sure how you draft one brick behind an even larger brick. Whenever I'm behind a rig, I'm all over the road. I don't call it drafting, I call it drifting.

I have a toneau cover and put the Armada air damn under the FR BMPR. I just drove to Louisville and back this last weekend and got 18.3MPG with cruise set on 80.

Hey Go Vols you may want to change your name after that beating last Saturday. Of course I may want to change my avatar after Oct 20th. BTW my parents live in Shelbyville, I sure do like it in that area.
