Going to install Cermaic pads this week.

My truck only has 500 miles on it and already the dust is way to much. I love the cermaic pads i had on my jeep so I'm just going to install them now and get it over with.

I got the Akebono ones from Tire Rack, and they should be here on Friday.

I have just one question. Does anyone know what the "special grease" (molykote?) is the the TSB refers too? is this just lithium grewase or something? where can i get something simliar?

special grease might be something like "stop squeak" for the brake pad backing plate to go between the pads and the calipers. It prevents squeaking and juttering caused by pad vibration against the caliper/rotor. (IF that's what they refer to)

You should be able to pick up molykote at any automotive parts store, All you will need is just a dab on the slides!!!! Im with you on the dusting problem, its really bad on mine!!!!!!! Let us know how the new pads work, THANKS, Paul :teethmast

what are the part numbers for the front and rear as that is what I would like to do formy brakes to get rid of the darn brake dust

they only sell the fonts at tire rack right now, i will post up when install them.
