I picked up my 08+ 4x4 springs from forum member giimmelub and had them paired up with my Bilstein 5100's. I don't have experience fiddling with spring compressors, so I paid my friend that runs a shop to assemble them for me. My truck is dirty right now, so I won't have good pictures up until this Saturday.

Stock ground-to-fender height: 35" up front
08 springs with 5100 set to 1 ground-to-fender height: 40" up front

My 33" tires are pretty worn down, so I would be sitting at 40.5" easily if I had decent tread on my tires. I could probably run 1.5" spacer with minor coil bucket contact.

Nice! So I'd probably get about 39" to 39.5" up front with them set at "0". I think I might need to get me a set! BTW, how is the ride compared to your 5100's on the top setting with your stock springs?

So how is the ride with the highest setting? I really need to get my 5100s back on the truck.

It's not that noticable of a difference. The 4x2 springs I received with the Bilsteins were pretty worn down so it offset the preload created by the Bilsteins on the top setting. That setup was not stiff at all.

I test drove this setup for about 10 miles after I finished the install (and removed the sway bar after the install), and I liked it a lot. I think allowing the truck to work independently with the stiffer springs without the sway bar interfering helped.

I actually have it on the middle setting, and I love it. It's not stiff at all.

great googly moogly, thats some lift from some shocks and springs; do you think that the height will go down as they break in?

Good job taking the sway bar off, it helps a ton for ride quality. Just wondering, are you leveled now front to back? I know Nissan changed rear leafs on the 08's, but I don't know if the 08 2wd rear end sits higher?

I just put the 08+ springs on my 4x2 kc with Bilstein HD's and its got quite a bit of positive camber..
You need adjustable cam bolts and an alignment.

I'm guessing the OP does too ... madrock should be getting about 3" with that setup not 5". The middle setting gives 1.5" so that would be 3.5" from the coils. Sounds like the tires are on their edges.

Not 3.5". Even if they are Pro4x coils maybe 2". Since the truck's an '08, it didn't come with cam bolts, so the camber being off would explain it, and even Toe can cause this.

madrock, did you get it aligned? Did you buy cam bolts?

:bump: Pics added to the original post. It was too dark last night, so I spent the time aiming my HID low and fogs :teethmast

My stock 08 sat exactly like my stock 06, which was 35" up front and 37.5" in the rear. I picked up some 1.5" blocks and Bilstein 5125 rear shocks from Mr Lee, but I kinda digging the stance as it is now.

I posted a frontal pic on the original post. I have some positive camber, but it is nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. I just installed the setup last night so I haven't had it aligned yet. I get my tax refund on June 3, so I'll get new shoes and the alignment done all at once.

Before I went forward with this setup, I talked to at least 3 different 2WD guys who all said they were sitting at around 39-39.5" (SuperTighty5.6 was the only one to have the Bilstein's set at 1. He sits at 40.5 with my exact setup).

I knew 4x2's were lighter, but to gain almost 4" is awesome :teethmast

I have the same setup as madrock an got the same results. I'm sitting at 40.5" up front in my 07 2wd so I don't think its an alignment issue with how much lift he's getting

So bilsteins on the middle is 1.5"s of lift... and 4x4 springs are another 1" of lift?... which = 2.5"s of lift, how did you end up gaining 4-5 at the fender?

Truck looks great tho! Good work!

My guess is that the 2WD are a lot lighter and don't compress the stiff 4x4 springs as much.
