Good job taking the sway bar off, it helps a ton for ride quality. Just wondering, are you leveled now front to back? I know Nissan changed rear leafs on the 08's, but I don't know if the 08 2wd rear end sits higher?

You need adjustable cam bolts and an alignment.
I'm guessing the OP does too ... madrock should be getting about 3" with that setup not 5". The middle setting gives 1.5" so that would be 3.5" from the coils. Sounds like the tires are on their edges.

For some reason 2wd guys have been getting some crazy lift numbers from this set up:confused:

pictures!!!
Not 3.5". Even if they are Pro4x coils maybe 2". Since the truck's an '08, it didn't come with cam bolts, so the camber being off would explain it, and even Toe can cause this.

madrock, did you get it aligned? Did you buy cam bolts?

so middle setting and 08 Pro-4x coils and you are all good with no contact, sounds like i know what im gonna be doing soon
My temporary setup consist of the 2.5" PRG leveling kit, Bilstein HD's, Total Chaos UCA. and the stock '04 4x4 coils.

Since mine is a 4x4, a 2" leveling kit is recomended, but with an older 2wd, you should be able to run a 2.5" leveling kit with the stock UCA's and the Bilstein HD's. Adding the longer '08 4x4 coils will only add preload since you're sticking them into the same place as your current coils, and they will not lead to more coil bucket contact. The HD's are stock length struts, based upon the older model Titans. But since they only sell one model for the 2wd and 4x4, and if the OEM struts are a little different in length, that might give you a little contact, but you could grind the lips a little.

If you are going to drive it faster off road, (or like to hit speed bumps fast), you would be better off with a 2" leveling kit instead of a 2.5", or if yours is a 4x4, then a 1.5".

So in your opinion Norcal, on a 04' 2wd truck, it should be safe to add 08 4x4 springs to my 2.5" mini lift and Bilstein HD's? Wouldn't hold you to it but value the opinion of someone that knows a lot more than I do about the subject. I looked and have about 2" between the UCA and CB sitting on a flat surface now. Thanks!
If you take it easy with it, the 2.5 will probably be fine, but the coilbucket placement on the Titans can even vary from driver side to passenger side, so there's no guarantee. Based on mine, it should be fine, for the reasons I stated, but if you're the type that speeds up for speed bumps or off roads at heigher speed, the 2" might be a better choice.
I believe the 2.5" spacer will be too much for the stock UCA. 1.5" is what they recommend, and 2" is pushing it. It could work if you went the RC route with their UCA's.
The recomended PRG leveling kit is 2.5" for an '04 2wd. It is 2" for an '08 + 2wd with stock struts.
Btw, did you every get the alignment? Still at 5"?

You are correct sir, as I said in my last post, I tried that with the 2.5" spacer and was pretty much resting on my coil buckets. If you have stock uca's it's not gonna work!
What year is your Titan, and didn't you try this with the 5100's insted of the HD's?

NorCal, When the only mod I had was the 2.5" spacer, it worked out just fine. When I installed the 08+ coils I had the clearance issue, because obv. it was like adding a 2.5" spacer on a 08+ 4x4. RADtitan is talking about adding the 2.5" spacer with 08+ coils as well, which is why I said he is going to have the clearance issues.
'08+ coils are not the issue. They do not make the strut any longer, like a spacer does. The reason the '08+ Titans have more UCA to cb contact is where the cb is welded onto the frame is different than the '04-'07s.
