lol you guys are something else. They are common. Unlike a common issue such as the A/C button not working :bangit:
Facts are facts guys. If the IPDM goes out, better to do it youself for $150 instead of $400 at the dealer, minus the fact your truck may be stuck somewhere, who knows where. THEN you gotta tow it to the dealership/home, THEN if you tow it to home, you gotta find a ride to the dealership to get the IPDM, and a 50/50 chance of waiting. Out of 5 dealerships in Denver, only one had one in stock. I'd hate to wait a week to not drive my truck.
Same thing with radiator, if this dude can use a screw driver then why pay the dealership $900 to replace a radiator when he could do it himself for $200 with coolant, and slap in a better radiator then crap OEM.
Oh lets mention the radiator cap. These guys won't say it's a common issue but it is also. No spring vs spring..which one should you get?!
....take it for what it's worth. Clearly these issues are pretty common. Search, you'll see.
And yeah, some guys with 04's have had no issues at all. Others like myself have had a very long list of issues. Each truck is different. And I get ragged on because I sold my junk to a buddy (who knows about the issues) instead of trading it in and letting someone else possibly have to deal with BS issues with no past history
