That looks great! Can you post a link to the lights that you bought?
Sure any aftermarket light can be considered decorative. I installed them for added visual safety when driving. Are these just a decorative light? I have them on my '23 XD Pro.
Not at all. I drew power from the passenger headlight adjuster harness. I used quick splice taps; black to black/red to red. Just in case, I also added 5amp inline fuse to the harness. Its a little tight but can be done. Lights up when truck is powered. Hope this helps you out. This maybe a dumb question..but can you show how you tapped the lights into the headlight? I want to add some lights and I am trying to figure out how to do it.
ThanksThis looks good! I like it. 👏
It was tedious. Manual dexterity is involved. After deciding which slot on the grill I was going for. I applied and trimmed 3M tape on the top of each lens. Making sure to clean surface well with alcohol. I then slid the light behind the grill. Angle the light down and push up into position. The light is then sandwiched by 3M tape and lower grill vanes. Do this for each light first. For the main harness, there is a rubber grill shroud on both sides you can route the harness through to the engine bay. I passed the harness from one of the large grill opening front side of grill using a long zip tie. Once main harness is behind the grill; connect each light. Its good to have a pair of extra long needle pliers to help maneuver harness behind the grill. Hope this helps. How did you install the lights without removing the grille?
So from what I've been reading is that any truck 80" or wider require them. So my stock 2019 Pro4x is 79.5" so if I even think of adding wider tires or wheel spacers, I'm supposed to get them. Well I'm sure no one is ever going to pull me over and measure my truck. Are these just a decorative light? I have them on my '23 XD Pro.

All that being said, they look cool and I'm reading this thread because I plan on doing this to mine. I've already sent back one set of lights because i couldn't come up with a good way to mount them, but I may try what SpeedRacer did. I saw the round ones someone did here that pop in but I didn't really like that look.
SO, I'm probably about to order these and try it out.
Yup, I have read articles concerning the lighting topic years ago when the Raptors started appearing with the grill/auxiliary lights. I use to follow F150 Forums. Even installed them on my old Expedition and F150. I tried the round ones, but didn’t look clean enough for me. I prefer a recessed mounting. Besides the lights looking cool. They do serve a purpose. So from what I've been reading is that any truck 80" or wider require them. I am waiting these same lights they look awesomeAfter not wanting to take apart the grill to install the OEM grill lights. I modded aftermarket grill lights for a Tacoma into my 21 Titan Pro4x. I modded the harness to use 3 out 4 lights and 3m tape to afix them into the grill. For now I have them wire tapped to the passenger headlight wiring. So lights turn on when Titan starts. Maybe I’ll control them with a separate switch & harness later. Enjoy.
