I just couldn't wait for the new Titan to come out, and after looking at a brand new 2011 model (with no changes, except for the model badging - SE is now an SV), I went and bought a new RAM 1500 Sport 4x4 Crew Cab.

First impressions are that the interior build quality is nice and the ride and power is head and shoulders above the Titan. The Titan, although still a good truck for the money, is way overdue for an entire overhaul and has been surpassed (in my opinion) by the technology and build quality of the RAM 1500 and F150.

I got a good deal overall and just couldn't pass it up this time. I've been researching and test driving everything out there for the last 2 months and caught a good deal today (being the end of the month).

I will miss my Titan and all of its little quirks, but I'm looking forward to the future as a new RAM owner.

I will also miss the guys I met at the 2009 Titan meet in Raleigh. Hopefully, I'll still be welcome on here and will continue to stop by and see how you guys are doing with your Titans.

I've posted a thread on the Buy/Sale section with a few things that I had leftover from today (PM me if you're interested if anything):

So long and happy trails...

We aren't letting you leave until you've posted pictures of the new whip. :teethmast:

You want pictures of a 2011 Ram? They are all over the place!

let the man go, I'm sure he has a recall notice to read.

I just picked up an 11 SL this past weekend and I'll have to agree with the OP somewhat. If money were no object I'd probably be in an F150 Lariat ecoboost. But they're still expensive and I shy away from first year production vehicles.

Way I see it is Nissan had 7 years to work the bugs out on my 2011. Of course I've got an appointment with the dealer to fix the clicking HVAC actuator and take a look at the rear end clunks. Still love the truck and don't regret at all especially since I got a hell of a deal on it.

What is an HVAC actuator?

There are 3 (I believe) motors behind the dash that help operate your AC and heating. Vent setting, temperature, and fan speed. The one for my vent setting clicks rapidly when switched from defrost to regular venting. According to a few posts here there's been a recall issued for later model T's.

Looks like a great truck-congratulations on the purchase.

Lots of aftermarket support for the Dodge.

I like the integrated box on the side of the Laramie's; very nice feature.

When we have the regional meet, you're still invited. We'll put a nissan burger on your truck to get you in!:redblob"

I like the new Dodges. I will be looking closely at them when I am done with the Titan.
Like it was said, the Titan needs a major overhaul on it's design, and it's flaws.
I have owned Nissans for about 25 years, and the Titan has costs me more to maintain then any of the other Nissans I have owned.
So, I will run it into the ground, and then replace it. :)
