Hey all,

I am getting ready to order this Rostra Bluetooth system that integrates into the stock Nissan system (I have an 04 non Rockford 6 disc). I am torn between doing this and just swapping head units.

As I see it, pros to just adding this setup:

Significant money savings.
Keep stock look.
Have Bluetooth.
Don't have to adapt steering wheel controls.

Cons:

Less functions than if I got a new head unit.
No USB or rear camera functionality if I wanted it later.
Still have the lousy stock SiriusXM display feature where you have to keep pushing the button to see titles etc.

What do you guys think? I'm happy with the sound quality of my stock system but wish I had a couple other features; mostly Bluetooth but wouldn't mind having USB capacity as I listen to a lot of audiobooks that I download to a USB. I sometimes just plug my mp3 player into the aux, and it works good, but I hate having sloppy wires all over the place.

Thoughts? I'm planning on taking the truck on vacation to Florida in the winter and I want to have my setup by then.

I dunno man, I'm not a huge audio kind of guy but I'd probably get a new head unit to be honest. You'll get more functionality with the options available, depending on how much money you are willing to spend. It won't look stock, but you'll probably enjoy the upgrade

Florida is really close to Georgia... a quick pitstop in GA on the way could remedy all your audio questions... :poke:
