After 5 weeks or so with the Titan..i really like it. Just wasn't prepared for all the hatred i'm getting from Ford/Chevy/and Ram owners! Pulled into a parking lot yesterday and a guy moved out of my way so i could park..and as i got out..grimaced at me and said 'Last thing i want is to get run over by a Goddamn Nissan!". He got in his GMC and squealed out of the lot. Not the first instance either. I was a UAW president at work for years..and this is the first foreign vehicle i've owned after 2 F150's and a Ranger. Even after telling people the Titan is made in Mississippi and the motor is from Indiana..and my last 2 Fords sucked..the brand loyalty with pick up drivers is nuts! And since i ride a Harley..i get even more grief for being 'anti american"! Anyone else experiencing this?

I have a finger on my right hand that responds to those types as a reflex. Not much can be done about stupid. You can't teach away stupid, only ignorance..... We are in a time that I only experienced once before, during the Vietnam War period, when ******* stupid reigned and then all of a sudden, ...it was gone.....for awhile.

My wife drives my 6" lifted truck on 35's and she said a guy yelled "buy American" at her when she had the 5% limo tint windows up (so he didn't know who was driving) and when she at 5'2" hopped out the guys jaw dropped and he just walked away.

I have never had much more than friends bugging me about it. I just say "It's okay. Not everyone can afford one!" lol. People who drive Ram 1500's have no right opening their mouths about a mans truck. I think they are just mad they bought garbage.

Now my confederate flag is another story! I find it funny that the guy down the road from me who has a license plate with the Waffen SS Skull and Bolts never gets any comments...

The only one who gives me crap about my truck is my brother who drives a GMC 2500. I've never had any issues here in Colorado. Maybe we have more of a live and let live attitude here. Plus, most of us are armed.

10 years in my Titan. 6 in Texas and 4 in Colorado. Not once did I ever get grief for driving a Nissan.

Hey now, my 2014 Ram has been very reliable no issues in two years and it's solid with no rattles. That said I had my Titan for 9 years and loved it I did get some greef from people around here mostly old men it seemed. One guy in an old Dodge as a matter of fact gave a guy driving a new Chevy in front of me a thumbs up and when I went by in my Titan he gave me a thumbs down yelling some crap out the window. I simply laughed which made him even madder. I'm not really a brand loyal person I just buy what I like at the time and I would have bought another Titan but it wasn't changed and I wanted something at least a little different.

I've also only caught crap from my friends. But I have caught crap about the Chebby and Dodges I drove also. Just friends being di<ks like they're supposed to be.
People are ignorant and don't want to expand out of their little bubble.
Who cares what they think anyway....

I dont have a lot of people say anything out of the way to me in general anyway, let alone for my truck. The closes Ive come to someone trying to be overly aggressive about my nissan, was some senior at my sons highs school. He would always snarl his so called exhaust from his lifted chevy "sliperado" and I would just laugh, but apparently all his buddies thought it was the best thing ever. I picked my kidup from school one day, and the kidcue off, and my son being , well, my son told me to show the boy what I had. Needless to say, this year, we show up for the first day of school and there is now 4 nissan titans in the parking lot. ( gotta love rich ********). Funny thing though, they all want to laugh about a nissan, but 1/2 are driving a 1990s tacoma. Go figure

I wouldn't worry to much about it. People are people. With that said a buddy of mine bought a used powerstroke with a good history.. It wouldnt come out of the regen cycle. He just put $5k into deleting emissions crap and making it running right(had half his valve train rebuilt). But he'll still fly his Ford flag.. Just how people are. Can't admit they are wrong.
