Hey guys, this is my first post so bare with me lol I have a 08 pro4x and I installed jba lt and berks catted bpipe pipes. Currently have dual with 40 series Flowmasters.

My concern is the tune, is there a tuner like bully dog that can really enhance these mods? I just think 600 bucks is crazy for anow email with a tune from uprev.

Thanks in advance, I'm in oklahoma by the way.

no offense Jay, but you really have to read up on the benefits of UPrev with your headers and B pipes.

it is what it is and those flowmasters aren`t the ideal muff`s for our trucks...

Look for nightowls thread on exhaust systems.

seriously, right now UPrev is the way to go once you install headers.

there is NO canned tuner that will change the AFR`s like you need to, and no canned tuner that will be UPrev...

Thanks for the advice Pale Rider, I would like to change out the flowmasters as they are raspy. I would like a very deep rumble tone. I will look into the nightowl thread. Thanks !

the raspyness is due to the firing order of our 5.6. and quite a few exhaust system sound like crap...

JBA muff is ok, Magnaflow and Borla seem to be the top contenders.

you want to talk to Jeff > nightowl about the Cajun exhaust
and
Joe > seymore4 who is our resident UPrev guru

I went full Cajun catback from Nightowl and uprev tune from Seymore4. This allowed me to chose my muffler. I'm a borla fan, so this was a good option for me. The Cajun is also recommended if you are going to add boost or cams later. (And being in this forum, YOU PROBABLY WILL). It is a more costly choise, so most go with JBA catback and uprev. There is no rasp with the Cajun. Nightowl has YouTube videos for sound clips. Due to the fireing order, most of us add the Vibrant ultra quiet resonator. It gives it a nice sport sound.

The only flowmasters I have ever installed prohibited my ability to hear myself think due to the drone. No drone here!

When I install additional mods, Seymore4 has the ability to make proper adjustments with uprev.

I have JBA LT headers and Berk Technology b-pipes. I've been fighting an emissions code for the past year or so. My mechanic, and today an exhaust specialist, think the passenger side b-pipe isn't working right. While the catalytic converter appears to be intact it's lost its mojo. At least that's the theory. I would fail visual inspection anyhow, so I'm planning to get a custom set of b-pipes with two catalytic converters in each one. I say all this to warn you that your b-pipes may not survive being directly downstream from the headers.

I am Uprev tuned by Cajun. As said above, you do need to be tuned for the modifications on your Titan. A simple programmer can't handle that.

I'm not very impressed with the Magnaflow mufflers. The 18" was raspy and the 22" had poor quality.

You will prematurely kill those 200 cell magnaflow cats in the Berks without Uprev. That can happen fast as well due to the fuel mixture being out. Flowmaster is a big no-no on the Titan with headers. JBA, Borla, 22-24" Magnaflow and the Ultraquiet resonator are about the only ones I recommend for a clean exhaust note.

I was in the same boat as you, Nismo LT's, Berk B's, Uprev, and a P0420. Visually speaking, the cat looked fine. However I had a persistent CEL before I added a Vibrant O2 sim. See link. This seems to have cured my CEL.

My heavy metal cat option in the Cajuns are doing a outstanding job keeping the light off. The 200 cell cats the Berk uses and myself do a great job but from time to time a light may occur and every truck is different. Some trucks never see a light and others may pop one ever so often.
