Headers

Okay I'm sure this has been asked hundreds of times. But I'm gonna ask anyways. Since my manifolds are bound to crack eventually, I might as well do the JBA headers right? But what if I didn't want to do a catback, intake, and tuner along with them? Can I just put the headers on, and leave it at that? Nothing extra. I don't really care to make my truck fast or anything I just want the reliability of quality parts. But if I have to do all the rest, I won't complain. I'll just have to do some saving before I go on that financial adventure. Thoughts? Help? What did you do?

I just want the JBA shorts with a bent pipe to twin baffles with the correct back-pressure to maximize the low end torque and 45 degree them out to the side under the front doors.... wait... I still need to drive on the actual road, dammit. Luckily, I have no emissions crap top deal with here (yet). It'll still be a long time coming, but my sights haven't wavered off of Cajun since I joined the forum... best figure out the best setup with twin-dumped turbo mufflers man ( I want the spit, snarl, and CIS)... and OP, just hit these guys up, they will figure it out. Best customer service than I've ever experienced... and I've never even bought from them yet. They always reply fast to my inquiries, and slowly educate my hard head.

Shorties may be $50 cheaper but require the fabrication work to get hooked up so in the long run you spend more on shorties than direct bolt on longtubes. Shorties are for the guys in CA who have no choices and need stock cats welded to them to pass.
oh that was minimalist exhaust setup joke. I'll definitely go with coated LTs when the time comes. Another premature question here, has anyone done a full insulated wrap on the headers as far as you know? and If I was to do that, would it render the ceramic coating redundant.
