I just installed two Hella 500ff lights in my lower grill of my 2011 pro4x. I have a couple questions.
First, Do most people leave the black air dam in there? I have to keep the front plate so I couldnt use the upper holes to mount upside down. I used the two outer holes for the air dam instead. Will this effect my cooling ability? I really only tow a couple times a year, but thats usually in the winter. It consistently gets in the upper 90's and 100's here in the summer though.
It looks like some people were able to get their lights on the front side of the license plate and use the upper holes. I don't see how this is possible...are chrome bumper and pro-4x bumpers different?
Second, while the light put out is pretty good...I always want more. I saw on hella's webite they have a 70watt bulb. Anyone try this. I don't really want to re-wire everything for 100 watt bulbs. Any other options out there?
Thanks,
Sean
