I have just recently purchased a 2012 Titan SV 4x4 and was wondering if there were any mods you guys would recommend for power or fuel mileage? Everything seems fine and I love the truck. It has 125xxx miles, is there anything specific that i should look into or check out? Was thinking of upgrading plugs but not sure what to use. Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

Welcome. IMO, I would do a Cai, CB and UPRev. That will provide you with a nice power increase. In regard's to MPG's, our Titan's never met a gas station it didn't like or pass up. Best advice, try to keep your foot out of the go pedal.

Welcome!

Answered your plug question in the other thread on MPG, where you asked the same... bottom line, don't expect spark plugs to increase gas mileage or power, unless they are worn out and need replacing anyway. Do you know if they have been replaced in your truck? At 125 kmi they need to get outta there, if not.

Use OEM plugs NGK DILFR5A-11 (non-Flex Fuel) or NGK DILFR5A-11D (Flex), or what is considered an acceptable substitute by many, NGK LFR5AIX-11.

I will second bender's advice on UpRev, CAI, and cat back, and would add aftermarket b-pipes. The replacement of the restrictive stock b-pipes is a great performance upgrade. None of these will really help mpg... with all in combination, some have reported a couple mpg improvement but I've not seen that. Can't seem to keep my foot out of it.

Cheers!

Thanks for the advice guys! Sorry I am a little ignorant here, but what is a CAI? I have heard of uprev. How much do they typically run?

Sorry, CAI = cold air intake. CB= cat back exhaust. Price will vary slightly from $150- $350 depending on brand Cai.

I think the best, hands-down, from various reports is the AirRaid MXP. I'm running the NISMO CAI, and it's fine for me, at least for now.

For best exhaust/UpRev advice, you can't go wrong talking to Jeff and Joe at Cajun Bpipes (site sponsoring vendor). Jeff is great to deal with, very knowledgeable, and Joe does the UpRev tuning. Check it out at Cajun Bpipes | shreveport, LA 71129.

The website is pretty basic - just call Jeff at the listed phone number.
