Help! I want a little bass that doesnt take up much room...

I have an 07 Titan with the 6 Disc in-dash cd/mp3 player without steering wheel controls. I want to add just a little bass/or a lot of bass if I could without taking up to much room in the back of my CC and I want to wire this up using the stock HU. I dont want an after HU no matter what because I just dont think it looks very good unless you go with a screen which I dont want to spend the $1000 on.

SO... what would be a good setup for me? I need a box, sub, amp, and I guess something like a PAC so i could use the stock system. I actually think that I have a JBL 1200.1 amp thats only 2 years old that is working great, but I really dont want that much space taken up my an amp. I like the idea of the JL stealth box but its a little pricey I think, plus I would still have to put an amp on the other side which is what im trying to avoid if possible. Maybe my hopes of containing it to one side is not possible, and if thats the case I will probably just go with something like a Tech12 dual 10'' box that go across the whole back....

Just give me some idea, I dont really think I know what I can or cant do or what would be best...

Tech will notice this thread soon, he'll help you out. You have bucket seats right? my stock fosgate sytem has a sub (a weak one lol) under the driver seat. Plenty of room im sure. No need for a huge box with optimum airspace if you just wanna add a little.

you could do a boston acoustic g20 amp under the passenger front seat with no problem. this enclosure would only take up under the driver rear side of the back seat. and its downfiring so you could still pile stuff on top.

if you want alot of bass for your buck

here you go http://shop.tech12volts.com/product.sc?categoryId=28&productId=60

And just so you know form looking at your truck and your other vehicles . You seem like your taste are alot like mine . I have owned very one of the same vehicles that you have . Save some time and money and just get the 2 tens and amp and be done with it.
Trevor, if you want to improve the system 100%, just add a Kenwood KSC-SW1 powered sub. This little sub will fit under either front seat or in the back tray.

Sudden urge beat me to it. That unit sells for 250 some places, I got one for about 165. Lots of guys have recommended that for a small and simple install.
I might have to check into that kenwood thing also. Might be a good solution for now since Im trying to conserve inside space now, untill I get a bed cover on down the road so I can put things in the bed that I would normally have to put in the cab.

Does it add a good amount of bass for its size? How much power does it put out? Also is a PAC or something similar still needed for install with a factory 6 disc HU?

Im still on the fence here! I want to do a bigger system with 2 10's and a good amp with a nice tech12 box, but I dont want to have to upgrade the HU, plus do I really want to spend that much money on subs right now when there is alot of mods I want to do the truck for improved looks like tint, grillie, painting the back bumper to match... hmm the choices the choices...
What do yall think about the Kicker L5's? I had 2 12" L7's in my Ws6 with the JBL 1200.1 amp and the Alpine 7987 HU and man did it hit HARD! Im not quite sure I want that much bass again, but again, Im stuck and maybe I do want that much bass again, but Im not sure.

So now Im thinking about 2 10" Kicker L5's under the rear seat in a Tech12 box(if those subs will work with a downfire or upfire set up). If they will have to forward facing, its back to the drawing boards to find some better subs.

Or maybe just get that Kenwood thing...
trevoRR - just have Tech do you a single 12 upfire - that's what he did for me and it fits under the rear seat on the drivers side - I mounted the amp on the back wall - My 84lb Boxer is in my truck 5 or 6 days a week and no problems (I leave the seat down). the 12 "hits" nicely too

The Kenwood fills the void that the stock 6 CD system lacks. Everything needed for installation is included with the unit. Here are the specs on it:

powered, enclosed subwoofer with 6-1/2" driver and 6-1/2" passive radiator
built-in amplifier: 150 watts RMS
frequency response: 35-150 Hz
wired remote for control over:
volume level control
variable low-pass crossover (50-120 Hz)
selectable phase control (0°, 180°)
power/ground wiring harness with 10A in-line fuse
preamp (RCA) and speaker-level inputs
dimensions: 15-3/4"W x 3-11/16"H x 9-1/16"D

Yes it will all you need is an loc 30 bucks for a good one. . if you are considering adding an amp to the fronts later you will want to get this instead of a regular loc.

The sub uses the rear speaker wires, located under each door sill, for an input signal, nothing is touched at the head unit. Total installation time is about two hours.
