I have read on here that this is most likely the Front Brake Band Solenoid located inside the transmission valve body. This is causing the truck to go into limp mode. As this truck has 240,000 miles on it I am not excited about spending over 1000 dollars to fix it and I read elsewhere that you can remove the ABS fuse to force it out of limp mode and that appears to work. While I know it is dangerous to drive without ABS my question is, is it safe mechanically to run the truck like this while I can work out a more long term solution. I am also throwing the p0455 code but am not sure if it is related. Thanks.
