HID Comparison... with pics.

Today my 6000k bulbs came in today. I have projectors so the pattern is different from stock. I had 10,000k HID's before but they werent the best choice for projectors. So here is the pics. The left is the 10,000k bulb and the right is the 6000k bulb. The right one isnt as purple, but more pure white. These pics dont do justice. But for reference, look at the two of them, 6000k is clearly brighter. I had to realign them too, cant wait to see them tonight.

I honestly see no difference. Did you post the same pic twice?
No no, I did double post the same pic. But the headlight in the left side of the truck is the 10,000k and the one on the right side of the truck is the 6000k. Get it?
Anyone have comparison pics using the stock headlight housing? Or just pics in general of a 6000k on the OEM housing?

Smart move changing to the 6k. 10k is way too blue and actually throws less usable light. Thanks for the pics.

Doh.

I had both pics open side by side and spent 5 minutes staring at them and trying to spot the difference.. lol.

Yea the 6k looks a lot more intense than the 10k. What conversion kit did you use for the HIDs?
If your headlights are anything like my McCullough/Acro HID flashlight, I'm sure you will be happy with them. Lighting is something you really cant do justice with photos.
Did you say what the kit costs?
I've had the kit for about 3 years now, I forget how much it cost. I just swapped the bulbs this time. The kit came with 10,000k. I switched to 6000k.
The harder to find 4300K and 5k are pretty sharp also. It's nice to be able to just swap bulbs when you want w/o having to buy a new kit.
4300 is the brightest. the higher the K the dimmer. period.

you can get 4300 from osram (including rebased ones) any day all day long from just about anywhere. not some chinese knockoffs :)

i've played with both. the build quality is not even comparable.
