Alright, so I've already learned my lesson from installing these HIDs but I've got a problem left to clean up. Started up my 05 Titan a bit ago, new HIDs were working wonders before this happened. I'm leaving a parking lot and the headlights and interior lights start to flicker like mad. I pull back into a parking spot and it stops, except I'm missing my interior illumination lights, but the low beam headlights stay on. I get it home, take out the HIDs put my stock bulbs back in, same thing. I check all my fuses, I'm not getting power to either side of the Headlight Low beam L/R, High beam L/R, Fog lights, or Illumination fuses. My electric radiator fan is stuck on, and only my low beam headlights work. Input from the switch inside does nothing, I'm expecting the worst but I don't know what to look for or check next. Does anyone have any ideas or information on what I can look for and what I will end up needing to replace? I'm feeling this is already one of those, expensive learn from your mistake kind of things. Any help is appreciated!

These trucks do some weird sh!t when the battery is bad, but with that being said I'm not so sure that's your problem, but it's a good place to start. Next I would start looking at your grounds, but I think you must have a short somewhere in the system. I know little to nothing about the bcm and ecu, so if your issues lie there your going to need better help than me. Do you have a check engine light or have you checked to see if it's throwing any codes?

Thanks for the help guys! Oddly enough I got it fixed earlier in the day. So I disconnected both terminals on the battery, I wanted to get a good look at the fusable link and everything else. Ended up not seeing anything wrong and put it all back together. I figured I would come back to it after some research. Went to start the truck and everything worked again, Low beams, High beams, Fogs, Interior lights, Taillights the whole nine. I'm not sure how that fixed it but everything is working again like nothing even happened. I had put all the stock bulbs back in before I did any of that. Any ideas on how that could've fixed things?

It may have been just a bad connection at the battery. I would maybe make sure both terminals to the battery are real clean. Maybe have your battery checked, but if all is well you may be good. I've read tons of threads with all kinds of weird symptoms and it coming back being the battery or its connections.

Do you have a relay harness for your hids. much better than just running off your stock wiring. gives direct power to the ballasts.

A number of functions on a Titan are controlled by a mini-computer. Apparently, there was some problem that occured which 'froze' the computer, hence a number of things did not work as normal. When you disconnected the battery the computer was re-set which, fortunately, restored all functions to normal.

If you decide to continue to use the HIDs use a relay to provide power to them through an external switch - don't use any of the 'normal' wiring.

you dont need an external switch. he just should get a harness that takes power from the battery directly. not through your stock wiring.

I haven't checked the battery since I got the truck last week so it may be a good idea for me to do that. The gauge in the truck for voltage usually reads right in the middle, maybe a bit higher sometimes, based on the numbers 8 lowest and 18 highest, 13volts is right in the middle, that sounds a little low to me or is that normal for these trucks? I'm sticking with the stock bulbs for now, I'm a little nervous about screwing something up honestly.
