I hooked up my factory harness to my brake controller and it doesn't work. I did some testing and there doesn't seem to be any power at the factory plug. I checked EVERY fuse on the truck and they all look good. Dealer wants me to come in and piss away all my money to diagnost the truck.

Can anyone suggest where to look for the problem?

May be a dumb question, but did you install the relays required as well? I believe the '07 requires 3 additional relays to complete the towing package. I'm sure someone else more knowledgeable will chime in now. Good luck!

Any truck with the Big Tow from the factory should have already had the relays installed.

Are there instructions somewhere for installing a brake controller? I have one out of my old truck, but not sure where/how to start the install. I have the Tow Package on an 04 Titan Crew.

Depends on the controller you have. If it's a really old one, I'd spring for the money to buy a newer one. Prodigy is what I have and is considered by most to be one of the best. The good thing about the Prodigy, though I'm sure it's true for some other brands as well, is that there's a pre-made harness you can buy that plugs straight into the truck's harness, and straight into the back of the controller. No soldering or matching the wires to connect them.

Hmmm... there is a wiring harness in the glovebox of the Titan... I bet that is for the controller! My controller is a few years old, but it works fine so I don't see a reason to go out and buy another. Hmmm...

...yup, just checked the harness and sure enough it is labeled for the controller! This should be way too easy!
