Hello,

I have an '06 Titan SE Crew Cab. One of the cigarette lighters is not working. This is the driver side one, the one that stays on all the time. I plugged a device that probably exceeded the watt rating of the outlet and it stopped working.

Does anyone know what fuse and/or steps to take to correct this ?

I checked all interior fuses to no avail.

It should have been one of those interior fuses. I don't know which one, I'd have to look. But given that you say the fuse isn't blown in there, have you checked the ones under the hood?

If you can figure out which one it is on the inside, you could find out whether power is still going to the fuse at all, and then the continuity from the non-power side of that fuse holder over to the actual port itself. Might help you narrow it down some as to where/what the issue is.

Just a couple of random thoughts there as to what I'd start with.

Thanks,

I checked all fuses with a meter. I also checked the 2 regular fuses in the engine compartment. I did not touch the other big ones inside the engine as I do not know what they are for. They are all working. There is no power to the cigarette lighter outlet.

I was wondering if anyone had access to a wiring diagram and could tell me how the 'always on' cigarette plug is wired.

Hey Mike, sounds like you have a bum socket, you can change them out, not that bad of a job, before you go to the trouble just make sure what you are plugging into the outlet is working on the other lighter :)
