Since I got the T 4 years ago, I've leaned towards go-fast mods. In the beginning, it came in spurts as money allowed. But now it's really been building up steam the past year and I want to get a realistic idea of how much faster I can make her.
After everything I've learned here, I'm thinking high to mid 12s is the best I can hope for in my high mileage DD without major tranny work and a turbo.
Since Oh-Five was seeing low 13s with his mods and a 125 shot, is it fair to assume I can break into the 12s with the addition of cams? (Obviously will add the nitrous setup also). I know Toomnymods was seeing low 12s with his turbo and major mods, but every .1 in the 12 club is a lot harder to come by than in the 14 and even 13 club for our trucks.
I'll do fairly extensive weight-reduction when I finally go to the track, and put on 17s w/ slicks to help.
I would truly be happy with the total money spent if I could get my T into the high 12s without a turbo.
What do you guys think?
And, btw, I'm not talking to you people who feel the urge to inform me that this is indeed NOT a race car, nor a Lightning. I am fairly certain I have come to understand and accept that fact, and, quite honestly, am more interested in modding a vehicle that is not expected to shag a$$. I mean, come on. I'm not surprised when a Z06, Lightning, Trailblazer SS or WRX can go REALLY fast. I AM surprised when a debadged Syclone or ...... wait for it.... a 4x4 Nis$an TlTAN crew cab weighing almost 6k does.
