The back up camera in my 2015 Titan works great except the colors/contrast are not accurate.

In other brands of vehicles, grass and tree leaves accurately look green.

Concrete looks gray and asphalt looks black.

In my after market dash cam, colors are accurate and crisp.

In my Titan rear view camera display, everything looks kind of low contrast brown and tan with a hint of green in the grass and trees.

Blue sky looks kind of bluish gray.

It makes backing down my driveway difficult; so I just use my mirrors like I have always done before rear view cameras existed.

Are colors accurately shown in your rear view camera?

Thanks.

Yeah I think mine is just ok as well, coming from my 06 with an aftermarket setup. Thing is my aftermarket camera was cheap, I had decent pioneer head unit, but nothing crazy expensive. I?d say it?s not the worst I?ve seen, but it?s poor compared to my old aftermarket or comparable 15?s I?ve drove. In the end 99% of the time I use my mirrors as I did for 20yrs prior unless I?m backing up to a trailer. I?m not thrilled with it but I doubt Nissan will do anything about it and I would like to eventually have a better aftermarket head unit with better features. I don?t know if it?s a camera or head unit resolution issue or both. It would be nice if we get some other guys to chime in here and maybe know if the system as a whole sucks or just part of it.

Thanks, guys for responding.

I was just wondering if my lack of color is in the system design or if it is a malfunction.

Just trying to get some other owners' insight.

It's like the rattle in my dash---not a deal breaker, but an annoyance that I would like to live without.

Thanks again.
