I use my 4WD on average once or twice a month. I would love to know how often other members use there 4wd. What do you use your 4WD for?

I used to use it at least 3-4 times a month when I worked in the field on power line right-of-ways. Now I never use it as I'm usually at the shop. If I were a hunter I suspect I would use it more.
It's nice to have as sometimes I'll need it to pull a car out of a ditch or a trailer out of a wet area.

There are months when I do not "need" to use it at all. Then during hunting season, I use it about four times a month (November through January). However, I try to find a dirt or gravel road around the first of each month to exercise the 4WD. I think it is necessary to keep things lubricated.

I've only used my once but ive only had my truck a month. So i guess once a month lol. Plan on using it more especially since huntin season is here.

I had to use my 4x4 last month when backing up a 2-3k trailer in a wet grassy field....didnt expect to have to use it. I was very glad it was there just a click away!

I try not to use 4WD but instead use my superior driving skills to overcome the laws of physics and poor Massachusetts roads. In reality, I don't use it all during the summer and a couple times a month during the winter. Even when I go hunting in VA in Nov., I usually don't need it unless I have to climb the mountain to haul out the kill.

1/3 of my mileage is in 4WD, which = 2-300 miles a month.
We have over 30 miles of roads on the ranch and require everyone who drives on the ranch roads to use 4WD.

I don't use it at all until deer season and then I only use it when it's wet out. It's more fun in the mud in 2wd. 4wd is for if it gets a little too slick. (I do reagularly enguage 4wd, once a month or so just briefly to keep everything lubed up.)

Once a month is a conservative average. I go play paintball and ride my quads or shoot at some targets and sometimes I use 4wd sometimes I dont. There are construction sites I visit after a rain can require some extra traction and Its very nice to not worry about getting stuck.

Then there are the 3-4 different months I go to Glamis... and that would be an every day I am there I use 4WD tooling around somewhere.
