I backed into my utility trailer and put a small dent in it. Can the dent be hammered out by a body shop?

i doubt it, the bumper is probably the toughest peice on the outside of the truck, you probably could beat it out a little but it still would be noticeable. check ebay, they had a couple on there a while back.

I just purchased a new rear bumper for 2004 SE yesterday. I purchased the bumper at Gwinnett Place Nissan in Duluth, Georgia. Gwinnett Place Nissan is the same place that some of the TT members were contemplating doing a group buy on Titan receiver hitches.

Gwinnett Place Nissan has an online parts business under www.nissanpart4U.com . I purchased the new rear bumper as part no. 85010-8S125 for $303.96 plus tax. I expected that the bumper would not include the new black plastic bumper covers but upon opening the box to insure there was no damage, there was a complete bumper, pads and all. I don't know if they made an error or not.

I had to pay 6% sales tax but there was no shipping charge since I picked up the bumper locally. I first priced the bumper on the website and they agreed to sell the bumper at the advertised website price when I contacted them by phone.. You might want to print out the price online and look around to see if your local dealers will match the price.

The guy I dealt with was Paul Samuelson, parts manager at 770 476-7771.

you have nothing to lose. I'd use a small 5-7 pounder hammer and see what you can do. Then, if you can pop it ok, get the whole thing linexed and you won't be able to see the body work. After my second rear ending, I got the new bumper linexed and now you can rub up against something without it leaving a big mark.

Yep you found one of the weakest bumpers in the industry that I have come across. (Truck bumper that cannot withstand a 5mph hit from the tail light assembly of a ford escort!).

I say keep the one you got and beat the cr*p out of it till your ready to sell. As soon as you put the new one on its sure to happen again.
