How to get the change tray

I spoke to customer support 1-800-Nissan1. I spoke to a nice woman on the phone, and gave her my vin. I then politely explained that I had heard that the change tray was now being shipped as a standard item, which I would have liked, but did not know it was an option at the time of purchase. She asked me to wait on hold while she researched the information. She then gave me a case # and told me to contact the dealer. They would either get it for me at no cost, or if they charged me I was to call her and provide bill of sale vin, and receipt for a refund.

Nice and easy to deal with!

BTW with the snow here I have been using 4wd and got 15 mpg. THIS IS GREAT ON GAS! My V6 never did this well

So I don't (buy) that argument... Make the customer happy and send us all a dadgum coin/remote/pen/whatever holder...Pardon my Texas French.

If Nissan isn't going to make the coin holder anymore why can't they just give the CAD drawings to an aftermarket company that can make them for three or four dollars?
CaliTitan I don't know if it's tit or teat depending on where your from but I bet snowman gets alot of offers for that $ 4 I mean $ 70.00 part!
:huh: Come on folks if you didn't have a change tray when you bought your truck why would you expect someone to give you one now? A lot of things may change during the production cycle and the manufactures can't be expected to go back and offer those changes to all previously sold units free of charge! If you get a change tray free great but if it's that big of a deal maybe you should have passed on the titan. I suppose if you find out your dealer sells a titan cheaper than yours you should get a refund? Sorry to be an *** but if your entitled to a free change holder then any production change made should be retroed back to all the previously sold units for that MY.

Well Dave, Nissan beleives that you should be getting it, and they have given out case numbers for people to get them.

This is the old squeaky wheel syndrome. If enough people b*tch Nissan fixes the problem. We are also doing the same thing with the R/F radio.

By the same token, if they fix the radio for the rest of us, should you not get same fix? If something was supposed to be there, and did not show up shouldn't you ask for it? If you did not get a passenger seat, would you say well I guess I missed out? HELL NO!

Sorry, but I'm going to climb up now. You have every right to ask for your change holder, so far I'm not sure how many have gotten one, but, and this is a big but, you were never suppose to get one in the first place. Check your Marooney (sp?) is the Change holder listed on it. Yes? then you deserve one. No? then you don't, sorry. If Nissan decides to give you one, they are doing it because they value you as a customer, not because you deserve it. Again sorry, but I'm trying to be honest with you. I don't have my truck yet, and will buy a change holder if it doesn't come with one.

As far as the Radio, keep calling. You deserve to get that fixed, as do I.

I would think that it should come standard because of the size of the compartment. If not, if someone does purchase the RF and or DVD system especially, then they should get it because of the headphones and remote control.

hey durocab nissan knows about this site and im sure they will look at this thread and see how many angry customers that wants this part that should have been standard anyway. so i thought i would let eveyone know what my progress was after i called nissan it seems that after they produce the correct part number we can order a coin holder and get refunded as stated earlier in this posts. but what i am having a hard time is some people have already ordered the coin holder and steve told me that i had to wait for validation on the part #. whatever :bangit: we will see how this goes but we should get a coin holder, or we better or they will be some :boxing: lol lol :jester:
This whole coin holder thing is getting nuts. Some people got em' and some people are getting em'. When I called Nissan they said the part was discontinued yet some people are ordering one. My dealer doesn't know anything. I think that Nissan should just mail us all one with all the money we spent.
Have you noticed that when you call Nissan you're always the first to report things (yea right!!). How can we turn up the heat on them and get the holder without everyone having to fight individually for a $60 part. Is there anyway to email them this whole thread?

I called Nissan and talk to a very nice lady yesterday. she told me to go and buy it from the dealer. fax her the rec. and Nissan will pay me back. I didn't have any problems talking to her on this, she put me on hold and went to talk to her Boss on this, It only took a min.She said buy it and we will pay you back.
I talked to a nice guy yesterday who said I was NOT the first person to call in about this. He was very helpful and I already ordered mine from the dealer. I think you need to have a file number on record before you order one or they will not make the refund. Do not just go order one and expect to get reimbursed for it.

Make the phone call, be polite and ASK if they can help you. Demanding that they give you this item is not going to get you anything except a run around which it seems a few people here are getting.

She gave me a claim No. and Fax No. and said call me on my direct line and I will take care of it for you. :)

Maybe the missing coin holder problem is related to the "suction sound" that eminates from Titan dealerships mentioned in another thread. :jester:
I went to my dealer tonight, not one Titan on the lot had the change tray. After I got home my sales guy called and said he found one on an Armada LE and would give it to me. I ran back over there and he happily turned it over. Some Armada buyer is going to be wondering about his missing coin tray now!

Got my tray today. Called Nissan and told the guy I talked to originally that I had it and he said to simply fax in the receipt with proof of ownership (ins. card) and he would have a check cut and sent right out to me.

Now, what else are we missing that I can go after them for? Did I hear something about a hitch cover? :)
Just wait until you get your coin tray. You have been screaming and crying for this thing. When you finally get it you will look at it and say "What a minor piece of sh!t!" It is truly nothing to get excited about. I was amazed that they list the price so high. I would not pay more that $5 for it, really.

Got mine. Had called Nissan, got claim number and fax. Sent fax of bill and awaiting check. :cheers:
I got mine too. Luckily they just took it off the Titan that had one from their lot.. an SE. it was one of the first delivered to the area. She said that one was the only one to come with one, and now mine is probably the only one that will have one in the area... LOL!

They still haven't sold another one. I am running out of excuses to go driving around advertising the big boy! LOL! Just drove around for an hour out in the country checking out the ATV trails in the ditches, since tomorow is the last day we can ride in them..... man, that think is comfy!
