How to get the change tray

I spoke to customer support 1-800-Nissan1. I spoke to a nice woman on the phone, and gave her my vin. I then politely explained that I had heard that the change tray was now being shipped as a standard item, which I would have liked, but did not know it was an option at the time of purchase. She asked me to wait on hold while she researched the information. She then gave me a case # and told me to contact the dealer. They would either get it for me at no cost, or if they charged me I was to call her and provide bill of sale vin, and receipt for a refund.

Nice and easy to deal with!

BTW with the snow here I have been using 4wd and got 15 mpg. THIS IS GREAT ON GAS! My V6 never did this well

Well, Ill be getting the coin holder, dealer ordered it for me. I spoke with them at Nissan USA and they said it SHOULD be there, dealer called them and they told him the same thing...it is on order.

MORONS At Nissan USA PISSED me off this morning.

Claiming the coin holder is discontinued even though it is in my manual and on my sticker.
There is a "specifications subject to change " disclaimer in the Owner's manual.
TriKKy is your dealer getting it for you?

Did they say who they/you talked to at Nissan? I need a sympathetic point of contact.
They believed me from the get-go but actually my service writer is pretty cool and was calling Nissan to back up my complaints to them. (What happened is that NissanUSA told me they would call the dealer and find out....they didn't, so I had the dealer do it. When he called they kept bringing up the coin holder up on him for some reason and ignored the 20 other issues I had) So he ended up having to call and get the part number since they couldnt even find it and NissanUSA knew about it and gave it to him...so now it is on order.
Got it, thanks.
Well, dealer ordered the part, and it's in...so I guess I won out in this case....something had to go my way!
Can someone post a picture of the coin tray installed without the DVD player?
I want to show them the pic, but avoid the BS about "it comes with the DVD package"...

Thanks!

What is an early shipment? I got my Titan December 30th and there were none to be found until them here.

So I don't (buy) that argument... Make the customer happy and send us all a dadgum coin/remote/pen/whatever holder...Pardon my Texas French.
I will take a picture once I get my truck back from service....where they are replacing all the loverly parts they scratched last time....idiots.

I don't see how having the picture will help you...if you think they would actually say that it comes with the DVD, what stops you from thinking they will say I just put it in myself and paid the $70 for it?
The reason why I want a picture is because when I called my dealer today he didn't seem to know (or pretended not to) what I was talking about.

There is a picture of it in the manual. I called up the dealer and told them that, and they sent me one.

Here you go, sorry for delay.
As a side note, I guess it's nice to have and all, but there is no way in hell I would pay $60 or whatever for this.

awesome thanks! I'm going to my dealer with the pic...
Go to dealer yet? I'm curious. I find it amazingly tragic and sad how some dealers don't really care and order it while others do not. What's more is that the NissanUSA customer service reps themselves give different answers, what is up with that? How can two people, same company, come up with two totally different answers, it reminds me of that commercial with David Spade for CapitalOne...some of these reps just keep saying NO!
The only accesory kit for the tow package is just that...an ACCESSORY! It does not come with the truck free. Only the trailer brake connector in your glove box comes with the tow pkg. Nor does the truck come with the coin tray after a certain build date. If it's not on your sticker, you were not ripped off....lol
So what build date/month did they stop providing this tray? My vehicle is April which I think is still pretty early, w/in the first 6 months of production. Should I have it?

Mine was 4/4/04 and it did not have it. I think I've seen some people with March build dates that did have it so I think it's right there.

So I suppose if your truck were missing a steering wheel, windshield, etc. you wouldn't be ripped off since it isn't on your sticker?

Clearly that is a rhetorical question, but the point is that if you read that PDF which is linked on page 2 or so that the coin holder is indeed standard for some 2004 models and it is only right and fair that they get EVERYTHING they paid for.

There is an illustration on pg 2-33 of the owners manual. I went back and showed my salesman and he gave me one from an Armada on the lot.

That all I did and they got one for me also. I said "Hey, if its shown in the owners manual then I should have one right?" He agreed and I got one. It was that easy.
I just did the same thing a few days ago, and got one.
