SLIP means that the computer is trying to reduce engine power and that braking is being applied to one or both of the REAR wheels to minimize "out of sync" REAR wheel rotation.TitanmediC said:
VDC means that the computer is reducing engine power and that braking is being applied to one, two ,three, or ALL four wheels in an attempt to keep the vehicle traveling in the direction of the steering wheel. It is completely different than SLIP.
I've been leaving a wet parking lot before and punched it while turning my front wheels all the way and the truck just eases along the way I intended without spinning or slidding at all. I've also been getting off the interstate b4 and hit a puddle and felt just ONE of the front brakes activate to keep the truck straight instead of allowing the puddle to throw the truck.. Pretty cool at times... Other times it tries(successfully)to limit engine power. Can be scarry if you're needing it...
