My mechanic has a brand new H2 rear axle that's been sitting in his shop for awhile. He said he'd give it to me for free...just pay for install if I wanted. Only reason why I'd want it is for the rear locker since I off road alot. My concern is that I might have some issues if I do the swap. My T is still pretty new. Rear diff hasn't had any issues so far. Should I do it?

Have you checked the width, ratio, ring & pinion size to make sure it will even fit and be strong enough??

For 2004 thru 2007 I would get an Arb or TrueTrac

2008+ 2wd, I would contact Arizona Differential and get a Dana 60 w/ Titan tube ends (and whatever you want as far as locker/lsd/gear ratio) so that the ABS will still work.

My understanding (obviously you would need to discuss/confirm with AZ Diff) is that they can set it up so that you reuse your 2008+ axle shafts, thus reducing cost.
