I have a very faint humming sound, sounds like a tire noise when slowing down and driving around 40mph. Sound doesn't get louder at fast speeds and isn't always there. Cant hear the sound with the windows rolled down either? The sound isn't consistent it pulses at about two hums a second. Turning left and right doesn't affect the sound, kinda sounds like an engine noise/tire noise? Riding on Cooper Discovery A/Ts. Any thoughts?

Did you ever find the cause of the humming noise ? I have the same problem, I have a 2005 titan 4x4 w/o offroad package with 4 inch lift and 35" toyo open country at2 , I have changed u-joints, tie rods , wheel hub on driver side , shocks in the back and struts and coil overs in the front and still have a humming noise, I'm gonna bring it to have a front end alignment tmrw, it would be nice to know if you found the problem

Hi…. I have the same thing. Anyone figure out the issue. My car guy is telling me to bring it to a transmission shop. He thinks it’s something out back. 40mph plus, hit the gas slightly and you can hear the hum. Coasting there’s no hum.

Hi…. I brought it in to my mechanic and he said that I need to take it to a transmission specialist. He thinks it’s something with the rear differential. I’m going to bring it in to them this month.
