I understand Bullydog and Superchips are best but I found out the Hypertech HQ in Memphis will program any public safety officier or military personel for 65 bucks. That is much better than spending $300 plus on a programmer. It includes 19 hp boost, elimates throttle rest. and speed govenor. Do you guys think this is a good deal over what little more a programmer offers?

I had my truck programmed up with the Hypertech and got better gas mileage than I am now. You'll be happy, because they will remove the WOT restriction. They will not give you the 2 degree advance, so you'll need to find a place to get that done.

does anyone know if this will pose any problems when i get around to buying my BD. I know some of these programmers don't always play nice together, and i dont want to get it done on my way to cali and have no way of removing it when i get the Bully Dog.

I removed the Hypertech tune and sold the tuner, so I couldn't tell you for sure, but I would think it would just write over the tune. The T's chip is an EPROM, which means it'll perform whatever instructions you ask it to until given another set of instructions, but I do not know that for sure. Please don't blame me if you damage your chip. :)

This is the kind of feedback that I'm actually looking for. As you can see, my uncle is planning to install a BullyDog on his vehicle this coming weekend but I advice him to get a hypertech because I think it is much reliable and better in increasing the performance of his vehicle. So I'm gonna tell my uncle that many people prefer using the hypertech and this post is one of my proof. Anyway, thanks for this post. :)

Before you say, "Many People", I am but just one man who happen to have them both. I love my Bully Dog GT, but it has not had an effect on my gas mileage the way the Hypertech affected my gas mileage. I lost 1-2 MPG after taking my truck back to stock from the Hypertech tune. I have yet to get that back with any tuner or anything that I've done to my truck. In order to test my hypothesis, I'd need to take my truck back to stock from the Bully Dog tune and re-tune with a Hypertech before I could definitively say that the Hypertech tune is the best for MGP.
