I have started to put in my PIE Amp with some directions from you guys.......

Problems...............Cause I'm not good with this sorta stuff

I'm supposed to tap the power line from the PIE into the violet line going into the back of my head unit............... Which one ? I have 3 of them. 2 on one plug and one in another plug

Next...........I am supposed to tap the grounding shield wires from the RCA cables into the black ground wire coming out of the AUX plug...........Why ?
Do I really have to do this ? And if so, how in the world do I do it ?

Thanks to anyone that can help............

If you want it to work, then yes. Strip the outer insulation, the next layer should be the braided shield, under it another layer of insulation, then the inner signal wire.

As for the violet power on wire, my brain isn't quiet up the task of remembering that far back, but a multi-meter would help.

It's not a braided shield............It's a bunch of loose wires

What is the best way to connect the shielding wires to the black grounding wire ?

Do all 4 RCA lines need to be connected ?

Can you connect them all in the same spot on the grounding wire ?
See this for help: http://www.titantalk.com/forums/titan-visual-audio-discussion/12639-hardwired-mp3-player.html

I'm not sure why your RCA lines have "a bunch of loose wires" never seen that before.
Yes, the shields from all four RCAs must be connected to the ground wire. Twist the shields together along with a short length of wire, about 4 inches then solder them and wrap with tape. Then strip about 1/2 inch of insulation from the ground wire and wrap the pigtail extending from the RCA cables around the bared wire and solder, again wrap with tape when done.

If you don't have a soldering iron then you need to get one, a 40 watt from Radio Shack will do nicely.
UPDATE - I got it all done.........Thanks for the help Sammy and Eakes

IT SOUNDS AWESOME..............Cant figure out why I waited so long
