That is awesome!

but i can see it now... driving down the highway and accidentally pushing the button and the whole dang side of my truck disappears!

maybe they could use that technology on the sides of my bed, then they could fold down and become a flat-bad titan.

High niftiness coefficient there, but you have to wonder about how it affects cab structural integrity on unibody designs, how well the door seals against wind noise, and how the door fares on side impact crashes. I am sure for the money, there are a lot of other mods that you would rather have.

That's pretty tight - I don't like how the window has to come down first. Like someone said before - in weather it wouldn't be very practical. But that would be t*ts for show cars!

as stated above....lots of issues to work out, but awesome innovation and good to see that there is a company looking into the future in this area!

In the rain up here that would be extremely impractical, I'll stick with my old fashioned technology

The major problem I see for us in winter weather areas would be snow and ice build up on the exterior, and what happens to that when the door retracts. Otherwise, it seems to be more a souther cali or Florida area item. But cool as hell!
