It was a long and adventurous journey. When we left to pick the truck up it was nice and sunny, When we left the dealer at 8:00pm IT WAS A FREAKIN BLIZZARD!!! White out conditions for over a hundred miles! Very slooow going and took a long time to get home. No, I wouldn't ditch you guys!

First off, my truck didn't come with the original interior colors but it looks great anyways! And I'm ok with that. The truck drove like a trooper through the blazing winds and blinding snow. I didn't even have to put in 4WD. I varied my speeds between 30 and 55mph all the way home.

The dealer was great! He threw in a lot of extras like warranty and bed extender (he didn't make a dime on them) They just wanted me to be happy. And I am! I was totally amazed at how quiet this truck is. Even with the big mirrors. Even in the extreme weather conditions it was like unbelievably silent!

Gas mileage seems to be very good so far. The seats are so much more comforable then my Ford. The view and the visibility is outstanding. My girlfriend is 5.0' tall and she loves it. She hates the Ford! She can see everything and feels much safer driving it. This is hands down the smoothest truck I have ever driven!

I do however hear a vacuum/suction sound coming from the passenger floorboard area... It seems to cycle with the A/C compressor. When the A/C clutch engages (which you can hear) that is exactly when you hear the vacuum/suction sound. It sounds like a vacuum control switch for the heater duct work area? Not Sure. It does not occur when the heater and fan are shut off. Is this normal? Does anyone else hear this?

Will try to post pictures when I can figure out how to do it. Thanks for all the responses. Will keep you posted. Any questions ... just ask. WE LOVE THIS TRUCK!!!!

Yes, the suction sound... I know it well. It had me concerned at first. But, you get used to it. Over, and over, and over, and over... :) Again, congratulations!!!

Suction noise

The noise is from the a/c expansion valve located inside the evaporator case. It is normal for it to cycle on and off. Good luck with your new truck.

So proud you are well pleased, Deepwater! I believe I'll have a similarly happy 'love my titan' story to tell by late friday...although I'm sure it won't include a snow blizzard here on the gulf coast! :upsidedow

Congrats! I've been driving mine all day in the rain and it handled great.

Durocab,

I'm over here in Shreveport and have been driving in hard rain today also. One thing I've noticed about the Titan in rain: The swept back windshield really sheds the rain and allows the wipers to do a good job. ;)

Small world! I was in Shreveport today also and was going to get floor mats for Titan as well as a bug shield at a truck accessory store that had both but I ended up short of time and will have to go back another day.

I'vr had several nissan trucks and SUVs, and they all make that sound. It seems to be normal. On the frontier and xterra boards, there were fixes posted for turning off the AC compressor when using the defrost mode. I just got used to it.

Static,
I am happy it's hear also. It's been a long wait, but well worth it! You are going to be so impressed with your truck. You won't even want to go home, you'll just keep on driving. There's just nothing like driving a top of the line truck! That "new Truck" smell mmmmmmmm. That oh so powerful motor and that wonderful exhaust note! I didn't even listen to the radio the whole way home, I just love to listen to that engine purr . What a truck! I read that you said that your date was moved to the 18th for delivery. Mine was the 17th and it was delivered on the 10th!!! SO GET READY. As far as the dealer accesories go, they gave me the 7yr/100,000 Gold preferred at a loss. They also threw in the bed extender for their cost and installed it for free. I was very happy with that. Especially when the warranty is very expensive to buy. I can't wait until yours gets here so we can hear from you. Your gonna love it! Deepwater :)

Good job on the Security Plus.. Just remember to read your policy and keep a copy of the contract in the truck! When ever you take the car in for a warranty repair that is covered by the contract, you get a rental car. The Gold Preferred is an exclusionary contract so you only need to look at what is not covered to find out what is covered.

Derwud, Do you have any idea what is not covered under this warranty?

you will receive a handbook in the mail in a couple of weeks, it outlines all the uncovered items. The list is pretty long........moldings, trim, etc. etc. The Gold is a pretty killer deal though and with the fact that this is a 1st year production model it was the way to go. I paid $730 for my 7/100000. Heck, that is about 15 hours labor these days. Cheap insurance. Just wait for the booklet and keep it with the contract as Derwud advises.
