I an trying to put a leveling lift on my off road , big tow equipped truck . 2005 Titan CC LE . I don't want to go with the spacer because at 72000 miles I am probably due struts and shocks anyway. I am being told that both the blistiene and Ranchero strut assemblies with the leveling adjustment will not fit on a titan with the off road package. I have seen the kits used all over this forum and I cant believe that I am the only one with the off road package. I did go to the ranchero site and put my vehicle in and it did say only for trucks w/o off road package. Why is that. What is different.

any Idea why they would say they will not work? Have you installed them if so any unforseen problems? Or modifications you needed to make work

I have had Bilsteins on my truck for about 6 years (on middle setting with a 1.5" spacer). There are some difference in older models and newer models. Older models had different springs and the coil buckets were welded in different spots. There were and still are differences in the spring rate between 2wd, 4wd, and Offroad package (now pro4x's) on pre 08 and post 08. It really depends on what your goal is and how much height you want to achieve. On pre 08 4wd and off road package models, you can typically do 2" of lift before you have to add aftermarket Upper control arms to prevent coil bucket contact (after 08 it is 1.5"). You would be fine doing the Bilsteins on middle setting for 1" of lift, you would still most likely be able to do the top setting for 2" but it is pretty stiff. I would suggest adding extended bump stops to prevent over compressing the struts and and blowing them out (Energy suspension 9-9101G or something like that) and some extended endlinks (Prgproducts.com) if you want to go higher and add a spacer on top I would do a 1.5" spacer, but then you would need to replace you upper control arms with Dirt king or PRG uppers.
