Everyone has a different opinion on intakes. Do a search on the site and you will find numerous threads on CAI's. I have the Injen, and while it did improve the performance I'm not sure it was by 28hp.
how much do you think it improved? I really didn't belive that number. To good to be true:smoke:
Enough that I can feel the difference. I like the look of the Injen the best of all the CAI's out there.
I also have the injen, and it does improve the performance noticeably, but i dont think it is quite 28hp, but im sure its more than the others. It is my favorite by far.
more than volant or aem? its so hard to choose between the three? i just wish i knew the real world gains on all the intakes.
The injen looks hot, I had one on my Altima and it was. I don't think it's worth $350 though. Someone did a comparrison on clubtitan at the track and it had comparable #'s to the others but it seemed the S&B was the best. At only 213 shipped I think it's the best bet and will be my next purchase.
It's all personal preference and what is important to you. I think the performance and looks of the injen make it worth the money.

when you say the s&b was the best, do you mean it put up the best numbers?

Yes, he got the best E.T. in the 1/4 with the S&B. But I think there might have been something else different as well. There's a sticky about it on CT.
Here's the link. It was actually Dyno #'s and 0-60 times that were compared.

That doesn't mean it was best or gained the best. It could've been that one car runs faster then the other (dyno's more hp to begin with). It could also mean the driver was better then the other driver.

The best results should be two equally stock Titans or same mods go head to head on a dyno (before the CAI's and after the CAI's for the best results). Or just take one Titan and dyno it stock then vs the Injen and then the S&B. Those are better results.
Shailey did do that with the S&B and Injen. But he pretty much said at that stage it was splitting hairs. He's ravin about the Stillen intake.

Yes, I realize all that, if you follow the link I posted all that was pretty clear.
It was on the same Titan with the same driver dynoing the intakes. By the time the S&B came out he had switched to a modified, bored out TB, but said he tested both the Injen and the S&B with the S&B outperforming the Injen.
Shailey posted that the S&B was the best performing for his Titan.

His exact words:

S & B intake. Add one more to the mix guys and girls! I bought one a short while back and have been using it for about 3 weeks now. I am going to go out on a limb and say that this intake is awesome.

UPDATE ON S & B: I have now dynoed the intake and have have results on the 0-60 and 1/4 mile runs. S & B wins it all. S & B now has the lowest 0-60 time and 1/4 mile time of all of them. Now do keep in mind that I do have a 75 mm throttle body on it now that helps out tremendously. The only two intakes I have used with the throttle body have been the Injen and S & B. Here are the gains...12 hp and 14 lbs of torque.
